On February 18, 2026, a meeting was held between the Minister of Economic Development and Trade of the Republic of Tajikistan, Abdurahmonzoda Abdurahmon Safarali, and the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Azerbaijan to the Republic of Tajikistan, Alimirzamin Askerov.
During the meeting, the parties discussed the current state and prospects for the development of bilateral cooperation in the areas of economy and trade, industrial cooperation, production of construction materials, the textile industry, processing of agricultural products, as well as the development of transport and logistics cooperation and preparations for the upcoming session of the Intergovernmental Commission on Trade and Economic Cooperation.
At the end of the meeting, the parties expressed their readiness to further strengthen and expand mutually beneficial cooperation.
