On February 4, 2026, on the sidelines of the World Government Summit, a meeting was held between the delegation of the Republic of Tajikistan, led by the Minister of Economic Development and Trade, Abdurahmonzoda Abdurahmon Safarali, and the Minister of Foreign Trade of the United Arab Emirates, Dr. Thani bin Ahmed Al Zeyoudi.
During the meeting, the parties discussed the current state and prospects of developing trade and economic cooperation between the two countries, placing particular emphasis on increasing bilateral trade turnover, developing digital trade, simplifying trade procedures, and expanding cooperation in the fields of agriculture, processing industry, logistics, aviation, and digital services.
At the conclusion of the meeting, the parties expressed their readiness to continue constructive dialogue and to implement practical initiatives aimed at the sustainable development of bilateral cooperation.
