On January 22, 2026, a meeting was held between the Minister of Economic Development and Trade of the Republic of Tajikistan, Abdurahmonzoda Abdurahmon Safarali, and the representative of the European Union, Vincent Bigott, at the Ministry of Economic Development and Trade of the Republic of Tajikistan.
During the meeting, the parties discussed the current state and prospects of economic cooperation, policies for human capital development, as well as vocational and technical education.
The Minister emphasized the importance of attracting investment to priority sectors of the national economy and noted the timeliness of the development of the European Union Grant Budget Support Programme for the vocational and technical education sector in the Republic of Tajikistan.
Following the meeting, the parties confirmed their commitment to continuing regular working dialogue and strengthening practical cooperation in priority areas of socioeconomic development.
