On December 3, 2025, a meeting of the National Headquarters for the Implementation of Government Resolution No. 218 of March 28, 2025, "On the Timely Preparation of the Republic's Economic and Social Sectors for Stable and Effective Operations during the Autumn-Winter Period of 2025–2026," was held to discuss the winter preparations of Sughd Region and its cities and districts.
The meeting was chaired by Usmonzoda Usmonali Yunusali, Deputy Prime Minister of the Republic of Tajikistan and Chairman of the Headquarters.
The meeting was attended by representatives of relevant ministries and agencies, members of the National Headquarters (in person), and heads and officials of executive authorities of Sughd Region and its cities and districts (online). To study the actual status of implementation of this resolution, a working group consisting of representatives of relevant ministries and agencies was established at the request of the Government of the Republic of Tajikistan.
The group conducted working visits to cities and districts of the Sughd region. The group examined the implementation of the aforementioned resolution and the preparedness of the region's economic and social sectors for stable and effective operations during the 2025-2026 autumn-winter period, including education, healthcare, culture, transportation, industrial enterprises, housing and utilities, financial departments, media, energy networks, and other sectors. Based on the findings, a corresponding report was prepared and submitted to the government.
During the meeting, the leadership of the executive authorities of the Sughd region and the cities and districts presented reports and discussed the identified deficiencies and problems in each city and district of the region, related to the financing of fuel procurement and reserves, food reserves and de-icing materials, the readiness of energy facilities, and other issues.
Following the meeting, Deputy Prime Minister of the Republic of Tajikistan and Chairman of the Headquarters, Usmonzoda Usmonali Yunusali, gave specific instructions to relevant ministries and agencies, as well as the executive authorities of the Sughd region and its cities and districts, to ensure the fulfillment of the plan for the procurement of necessary materials and the timely preparation of economic and social sectors for stable and effective operation during the autumn-winter period of 2025-2026.
