On November 28, 2025, a meeting of the Republican Headquarters for the Implementation of Government Resolution No. 218 of the Republic of Tajikistan dated March 28, 2025, "On the Timely Preparation of the Republic's Economic and Social Sectors for Stable and Effective Operations in the Autumn-Winter Period of 2025–2026," was held to review the Gorno-Badakhshan Autonomous Region's winter readiness.
The meeting was attended by representatives of sectoral ministries and agencies, members of the Republican Headquarters, as well as the chairmen of the executive bodies of state power of the Gorno-Badakhshan Autonomous Region and the cities and districts of the region.
To study the actual status of implementation of this resolution, a Working Group consisting of representatives from relevant sectoral ministries and agencies was established at the request of the Government of the Republic of Tajikistan. The group conducted a working visit to the cities and districts of the Gorno-Badakhshan Autonomous Region, reviewed the implementation of this resolution and the readiness of the region's economic and social sectors for stable and effective operation during the 2025-2026 autumn-winter period, including educational, healthcare, cultural, transportation, industrial, housing and utilities, financial management, public organizations, power grids, and other facilities, and submitted a corresponding report to the Government of the Republic.
During the meeting, the leadership of the executive bodies of state power of the Gorno-Badakhshan Autonomous Region and the cities and districts presented reports and discussed identified deficiencies and problems in each city and district of the region related to the financing of the purchase and reserve of fuel, food supplies, and de-icing materials, the readiness of energy facilities, and other issues.
Following the meeting, the relevant ministries and departments, as well as the executive bodies of state power of the Gorno-Badakhshan Autonomous Region, were given specific instructions to ensure the implementation of the plan for the reservation of necessary materials and the timely preparation of economic and social sectors for stable and effective operation during the autumn-winter period of 2025-2026.
