On November 18, 2025, during a working visit to the Sughd Region, the President of the Republic of Tajikistan, Leader of the Nation, Honorable Emomali Rahmon, inaugurated the new building of the State Institution Administration of the Sughd Free Economic Zone.
During a tour of the new building of the Sughd FEZ Administration, the President of the Republic of Tajikistan, Leader of the Nation, Honorable Emomali Rahmon, praised the quality of the work performed, noting that the implementation of this project is crucial for strengthening and developing the management infrastructure, improving the level of services provided, and attracting investment to the free economic zones.
A "Single Window" office has been created on the ground floor of the building. This office is designed to improve the efficiency of free economic zones, streamline registration procedures, and issuance of permits and licenses in accordance with modern requirements, enhance transparency, eliminate administrative and artificial barriers, and improve interaction between businesses and government agencies.
Currently, 48 domestic and foreign companies are registered as entities in the Sughd FEZ, which covers an area of 320 hectares.
The volume of investment by FEZ entities in the first ten months of 2025 amounted to 39 million somoni. Enterprises in the Sughd FEZ have established production of aluminum, plastic, and metal profiles, large-size polypropylene bags, decorative building materials, and the processing of dried fruit and other products. Industrial production from January to October 2025 reached 470 million somoni.
