Today, it serves as a symbol of friendship and fruitful cooperation between the two countries.
The first phase of the "Diyar Dushanbe" project, costing $65 million, was implemented with investment from Diyar Qatar. The second phase, costing $40 million, has already begun, and further phases are planned for a total cost of $95 million.

These include the continuation of construction of the Rogun Hydroelectric Power Station, the construction of an international passenger and cargo airport in the Dangara area, the creation of a joint airline and the purchase of aircraft, as well as three priority charitable projects, including the construction of the Republican Scientific Oncology Center and an emergency medical facility in Dushanbe under the Memorandum of Understanding on Charitable and Humanitarian Activities.
The parties commended the opening of direct flights between Dushanbe and Doha, as well as the introduction of a visa-free regime between the two countries. Initiatives were also proposed to open additional flights by Qatar Airways and develop tourism. It was noted that 200 labor migrants from Tajikistan have been sent to Qatar to date, and negotiations are ongoing to gradually increase their number to 4,000.
