On August 18, 2025, the Minister of Economic Development and Trade Zavqizoda Zavqi Amin met with students who won the entrance competition for the International Scholarship of the President of the Republic of Tajikistan "Durakhshandagon".
Zavqizoda Z. A. congratulated the students on receiving this scholarship and noted that thanks to the educational and wise policy of the President of the Republic of Tajikistan, the Leader of the Nation, Honorable Emomali Rahmon, talented young people have the opportunity to study in prestigious higher educational institutions of foreign countries every year at the expense of the President's fund.
It was noted that in pursuance of the Decree of the President of the Republic of Tajikistan dated December 31, 2020 No. 1445 "On declaring 2020-2040 the Twentieth Anniversary of the Study and Development of Natural, Exact and Mathematical Subjects in the Field of Science and Education", when selecting candidates, the main priority is given to specialties in the field of exact, natural and mathematical sciences, such as information and communication technologies, artificial intelligence, econometrics and various engineering areas.
It was emphasized that according to the constant instructions of the esteemed Leader of the Nation, every student studying abroad, in addition to excellent studies and exemplary discipline, must be a representative of the national values, culture and achievements of the Republic of Tajikistan in the international arena. In this regard, the students were invited to graduate with honors and, after returning to their homeland, contribute to the development of the national economy.
In conclusion, the students promised to graduate from the university with decent results.
