On August 1, 2025, a round table was held at the Ministry of Economic Development and Trade of the Republic of Tajikistan under the leadership of the Minister of Economic Development and Trade Zavqizoda Zavqi Amin together with the Co-Chair of the Development Partners Coordination Council, UN Resident Coordinator in the Republic of Tajikistan Parvati Ramaswamy, representatives of civil society, private sector associations and industry experts to present and discuss the draft National Development Program of the Republic of Tajikistan for 2026-2030.
At the beginning of the meeting, Zavqizoda Z. A. noted that the draft NDP for 2026-2030 was developed in order to implement the instructions set out in the Address of the President of the Republic of Tajikistan, the Leader of the Nation, His Excellency Emomali Rahmon, regarding the achievement of the country's strategic goals. He emphasized the importance of proposals and recommendations from development partners, civil society representatives, private sector associations and industry experts to improve this Program.
Then the participants were presented with the draft NDP 2026–2030, which reflects the country's development goals and priorities, including digitalization, industrial and artificial intelligence development, innovative, scientific and inventive development of the economy, human capital development and other areas.
During the meeting, heads of international organizations — members of the Development Partners Coordination Council, civil society representatives, private sector associations and industry experts spoke, presenting constructive proposals for finalizing the draft NDP 2026–2030.
It should be noted that the National Development Program of the Republic of Tajikistan for 2026–2030 is the third stage of the implementation of the National Development Strategy of the Republic of Tajikistan for the period up to 2030.
Opinions, proposals and results of the discussions will be taken into account when finalizing the draft NDP 2026–2030.
It is worth noting that in the next stages the draft NDP 2026-2030 will be submitted for consideration to the Government of the Republic of Tajikistan in agreement with the ministries and departments of the country.
