On May 22, 2025, within the framework of the Annual Meetings of the Islamic Development Bank (IsDB) Group, the Minister of Economic Development and Trade and IsDB Governor from the Republic of Tajikistan, Zavqizoda Zavqi Amin, participated and delivered a statement at the Roundtable of Governors of IsDB member countries.
In his remarks, Mr. Zavqizoda expressed gratitude to the leadership of the IsDB for financing priority projects in key sectors of the national economy and emphasized that, in line with the wise policy of the President of the Republic of Tajikistan, Leader of the Nation, His Excellency Emomali Rahmon, economic diversification through green growth, innovation, digitalization, and human capital development has been identified as one of the country’s main priorities.
It was noted that the implementation of the new IsDB strategy on sustainability and climate resilience for 2026–2035 and its financing mechanisms will contribute to achieving the development goals and priorities of member countries, including green economy, food security, irrigation infrastructure, and climate change mitigation.
Ministers from other IsDB member countries also delivered statements and shared valuable suggestions and initiatives.
