One of such important dates of the independence period is the "Day of the President of the Republic of Tajikistan", which embodies respect for a decent person, the socio-economic progress of our dear Tajikistan and its sustainability. On November 15, 2024, the awarding ceremony of the military sports competition between the teams of the Armed Forces of the Republic of Tajikistan in honor of the "Day of the President of the Republic of Tajikistan" for the Cup of the Minister of Internal Affairs of the Republic of Tajikistan took place at the sports complex of the Republican Council of the Ministry of Internal Affairs "Dynamo". The award ceremony was attended by Deputy Minister of Internal Affairs, Militia Major General Nasimzoda Akbar Gies, Commander of the Department of Internal Troops, Major General Suhrob Raufzoda and other representatives of the country's military structures. At first, Deputy Minister of Internal Affairs, Militia Major General Akbar Nasimzoda, stated that in state policy, the progress of physical culture and sports is always of paramount importance. Because the development of sports, the popularization of sports and the comprehensive promotion of a healthy lifestyle indicate that our national flag should be more fluttering. This is due to the fact that on the basis of the instructions and instructions of the leader of the nation, dear Emomali Rahmon, and with the direct support of the Head of State, numerous gyms were built and put into operation in the departments of the Ministry of Internal Affairs. In particular, in a short period of time, gyms were built and put into operation in the building of the Ministry of Internal Affairs, in all military units of the internal troops, divisions of the internal affairs bodies in regions, cities and districts, which indicates the development of sports in the internal affairs bodies. That is why today the victory of the athletes of the internal troops in the military sports competition between the teams of the military structures of the country in honor of the Day of the President of the Republic of Tajikistan was held to receive the "Cup of the Minister of Internal Affairs" in seven sports and once again testifies to the worthy status of sports in the life and official activities of the personnel of the internal affairs bodies. The Deputy Minister also said that the achievements of the athletes of the internal troops of the Ministry of Internal Affairs are a great achievement in the history of sports of the internal affairs bodies and are the result of the efforts and measures of the leadership of the Department of Internal Troops and the selfless work of the athletes themselves, who were marked by worthy results. It should be noted that the tournament started on November 7 and lasted until November 15, athletes competed in the types of mini-football, volleyball, national wrestling, as well as shooting from a Makarov pistol, a Kalashnikov assault rifle, a Mergani rifle (sniper) and overcoming an obstacle course. Thus, the team of athletes of the Ministry of Internal Affairs won the first place and the competition cup. The second place was taken by the team of the Ministry of Defense, the third by the National Guard. At the end, the winners were presented with a cup, a medal, certificates of honor, letters of thanks and memorable gifts on behalf of the Minister of Internal Affairs.
