On February 5, 2025, on the initiative of the Directorate of the Agency for State Financial Control and Combating Corruption of the Republic of Tajikistan in Sughd Region, a scientific-practical seminar entitled “Raising Legal Awareness – A Key Factor in Combating Corruption” was held at Branch No. 23 of the State Unitary Enterprise Deposit Bank of the Republic of Tajikistan (Amonatbank) in the city of Khujand.
The event was attended by the leadership and staff of bank branches in the cities and districts of Sughd Region. During the seminar, the main objectives and tasks of the State Strategy for Combating Corruption in the Republic of Tajikistan until 2030 and the implementation plan for its first stage (2021–2025) were discussed, as well as the methods and approaches for the effective implementation of this state anti-corruption program.
It was noted that, from the very first days of achieving state independence, issues of combating corruption have been central to the wise policy of the Founder of National Peace and Unity – the Leader of the Nation, President of the Republic of Tajikistan, H.E. Emomali Rahmon. The Government of the country continues to take necessary measures to reduce the intensity of this phenomenon across all sectors, especially in the banking sector.
