On December 5, 2024, at the initiative of the Board of the Agency for State Financial Control and Anti-Corruption of the Republic of Tajikistan, a scientific and practical seminar on the topic "the danger of corruption for the national economy" with the participation of teachers and students of economics faculties, dedicated to the International Anti-Corruption Day, was held at the Tajik National University in Dushanbe. The main purpose of the seminar is to increase anti-corruption awareness and legal education of the population, prevent corruption offenses, and ensure the implementation of state anti-corruption laws and programs. Opening the event, representatives of the University and the board in their speeches stressed the importance of celebrating the "International Anti-Corruption Day", as well as the consequences of this negative and dangerous phenomenon for the economic security of the country and various areas of Anti-Corruption policy of the Republic of Tajikistan. The participants also presented reports on the following topics: "review and clarification of the Law of the Republic of Tajikistan "On Combating Corruption", "the essence and purpose of the state anti-corruption strategy in the Republic of Tajikistan for the period up to 2030". It is worth noting that the organization and conduct of such events to prevent corruption offenses and the implementation of anti-corruption legal acts generally creates a favorable environment, helps to reduce the level and intensity of corruption. During the event, the participants were asked various questions on the topic of the seminar, to which comprehensive answers were given.
