On April 2, 2025, the Director of the Agency of Innovation and Digital Technologies under the President of the Republic of Tajikistan, Khurshed Mirzo, met with the Country Manager of the World Bank in the Republic of Tajikistan, Ozan Sevimli.
During the meeting, the parties exchanged views on the World Bank's activities in the country, including the implementation of the “Digital Foundations of Tajikistan” project, and discussed related issues. Both sides regarded the project as an important step forward in the development of Tajikistan’s digital economy and emphasized that it would contribute to improving digital services, enhancing skills, fostering innovation, strengthening connectivity, and expanding opportunities for communities.This initiative also aims to create new opportunities across all sectors, including the private sector.
At the end of the meeting, the Director of the Agencyu congratulated Mr. Ozan Sevimli on his appointment as Vice President of the World Bank for Digital Development and wished him success in his future endeavors.
