On December 16, 2024, the Director of the Agency of Innovation and Digital Technologies under the President of the Republic of Tajikistan met with the Ambassador of the United States of America to the Republic of Tajikistan.
The Director of the Agency of Innovation and Digital Technologies expressed support to the Government of the country in strengthening the institutional framework of the digital economy, development of information and communication infrastructure throughout the country, digitalization of sectors of the national economy and expansion of the process of implementation of “e-government”.
During the meeting, the importance of using experience in areas of interest was emphasized, including the exchange of experience in the field of e-government, information security, digital transition, as well as strengthening cooperation in the development of IT parks in Tajikistan and attracting American companies.
A representative of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Tajikistan also attended the meeting.
The U.S. Ambassador expressed his satisfaction with the reception and the meeting and expressed his pleasure in strengthening cooperation with the Agency of Innovation and Digital Technologies.
At this meeting, the delegation accompanied by the Ambassador of the United States of America to the Republic of Tajikistan included the head of the USAID office and expressed his opinion on establishing mutually beneficial cooperation.
It was decided that in order to strengthen mutually beneficial cooperation, relevant meetings under the agreement will be held in the order of diplomatic ways.
As a result, the parties agreed to resolve the issues raised and take practical measures.
