On 10 June 2026, the First Deputy Director of the Agency of Innovation and Digital Technologies under the President of the Republic of Tajikistan, Mr. Hakim Ismoilzod, held a meeting with the newly appointed Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Latvia to the Republic of Tajikistan, with residence in Tashkent, Mr. Girts Jaunzems.
During the meeting, the parties discussed prospects for expanding bilateral cooperation in the fields of digital technologies and innovation. Particular attention was given to the digitalization of public services, the development of the digital economy, strengthening cybersecurity, the implementation of artificial intelligence technologies, the exchange of best practices, and the training and professional development of sectoral specialists.
At the conclusion of the meeting, the parties reaffirmed their readiness to enhance sectoral cooperation, implement joint initiatives, and further strengthen partnership in the areas of innovation and digital technologies.
