At the initiative of the Founder of Peace and National Unity, Leader of the Nation, President of the Republic of Tajikistan, Emomali Rahmon, the United Nations General Assembly adopted the special resolution “Artificial Intelligence for Sustainable Development in Central Asia,” highlighting the international significance of Tajikistan’s initiatives in the field of digital technologies.
Building on this initiative, the establishment of a Regional Artificial Intelligence Centre is planned as part of the IT Hub Dushanbe project. The Centre is expected to become one of the leading hubs for digital technology and artificial intelligence development in the region.
The Centre will feature state-of-the-art laboratories, research facilities, innovation spaces, venues for international events, and a high-capacity data centre. The data centre will have a power capacity ranging from 50 to 75 megawatts, providing the infrastructure necessary for training advanced artificial intelligence models and processing large-scale datasets.
Upon becoming operational, the Centre will attract scientists, researchers, engineers, and AI specialists from across Central Asia and beyond to participate in joint projects, conduct scientific research, and contribute to the development of advanced technologies.
The establishment of the Centre will create a strong foundation for developing highly skilled professionals, attracting investment, fostering an innovative ecosystem, and positioning Tajikistan as a regional hub for technology and artificial intelligence in Central Asia.
