The President of the Republic of Tajikistan, Leader of the Nation, His Excellency Emomali Rahmon, has identified the improvement of the population’s standard and quality of living as a top priority of the country’s socio-economic policy, mobilizing all available resources to advance various sectors.
In this context, the signing of the Presidential Decree “On the Regulation of Salaries and Additional Compensation for Employees in the Field of Information and Communication Technologies” clearly demonstrates the special attention and consistent support of the country’s top leadership toward modern technologies, the development of human capital, and represents an important step toward strengthening the nation’s intellectual capacity and advancing the digitalization of all sectors of public life.
This Decree constitutes a logical continuation of the Government’s constructive policy aimed at transitioning to a digital economy and implementing the National Development Strategy of the Republic of Tajikistan up to 2030.
In the context of globalization and the rapid transition of the global economy to digital systems, this initiative of the Leader of the Nation establishes a solid legal and financial foundation for strengthening the country’s intellectual potential. Taking into account international best practices, it significantly transforms the incentive system for ICT professionals.
The Decree aims to enhance the competitiveness of the public sector in the labor market by attracting highly qualified professionals to public service. It addresses not only financial incentives but also accelerates innovation processes, supports teachers of digital disciplines, ensures information security, and reinforces the technological sovereignty of Tajikistan at a new stage of development.
With the adoption of this document, a new incentive framework is introduced, linking remuneration not only to years of service but also directly to professional competence and international certification of employees. This measure provides a solid foundation for the development of e-government and the strengthening of national information security.
The increased salaries will be fully financed from the state budget.
