The Agency of Innovation and Digital Technologies, in cooperation with the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development, held a roundtable discussion at the IT Park building dedicated to supporting the startup ecosystem in Tajikistan within the framework of the “Star Venture” project.
During the event, the parties discussed the current state of the startup ecosystem, existing challenges, and the necessary measures for the further development of the sector.
It is worth noting that representatives of the public and private sectors, development partners, and other active participants in the startup sphere took part in the roundtable.
The participants emphasized that over the past three years, the startup ecosystem in the country has developed significantly. One of the key steps in this process was recognized as the establishment and operation of IT-Park, which serves as a favorable platform for the development of innovative initiatives.
At the same time, the need to strengthen the legal framework, create specialized platforms for the preparation and development of startups, and support youth as the main driving force of the sector was identified as a priority for further development.
At the conclusion of the meeting, the parties expressed their readiness to cooperate in this area.
