On October 4, 2024, a working meeting on the development of marketplaces in the Republic of Tajikistan was held at the Agency of Innovation and Digital Technologies under the President of the Republic of Tajikistan.
The meeting was attended by representatives of the Communications Service under the Government of the Republic of Tajikistan, the National Bank of Tajikistan, the E-Commerce Association of Tajikistan, financial and credit organizations of the country "Orienbank", "Arvand Bank", "International Bank of Tajikistan", "Commerzbank", "Eskhata", "Humo", as well as mobile operators of the country, such as CJSC "TT Mobile" (Megafon), CJSC "Indigo Tajikistan" (Tcell), CJSC "Babilon-M" (Babilon-M).
At the opening of the meeting, the agency representative gave a brief presentation to the participants on electronic trade and e-commerce, the development of e-commerce in the world and Central Asia, the development of marketplaces, the features and main trends in the development of marketplaces, their positive and negative sides, the country's legislative framework in this area and the agency's plans for the future as an authorized body for the promotion of marketplaces.
After the presentation, the participants discussed the current state of marketplaces in Tajikistan, existing problems and proposals for their development in the country.
In conclusion, the participants proposed that the Agency of Innovation and Digital Technologies under the President of the Republic of Tajikistan, together with the National Bank of Tajikistan, develop and implement the "Roadmap for the Development of Marketplaces in the Country".
