On 15 September 2025, on the sidelines of the BRICS Forum on Partnership for the “New Industrial Revolution,” the Director of the Agency for Innovation and Digital Technologies, Khurshed Mirzo, held an official meeting with the Minister of Industry and Information Technology of the PRC, Li Lecheng.
The discussions focused on strengthening cooperation in industry, information and digital technologies, enhancing programs for training highly qualified personnel, and implementing signed bilateral agreements.
Special attention was given to joint academic initiatives, including cooperation with China’s leading universities (Tsinghua, Peking, Nanjing, Shanghai Jiao Tong), development of educational programs and scholarships for Tajik students in digital technologies, artificial intelligence, and data centers.
Both sides expressed readiness to expand cooperation within BRICS platforms and the International Telecommunication Union (ITU) and contribute to sustainable development initiatives.
The meeting concluded with an agreement to follow up on the discussed issues and take practical steps for implementation.
