On 30 June 2026, a ceremonial meeting was held at the State Institution Institute of Biological Safety and Biotechnology Problems of the Academy of Agricultural Sciences of Tajikistan to mark the adoption of a special resolution by the United Nations General Assembly.

The event was organized to explain the political and international significance of the UN General Assembly's resolution proclaiming 2027–2036 as the International Decade for Strengthening Peace for Future Generations. The meeting was attended by the Institute's leadership, researchers, and staff members.

The ceremony was opened by the Director of the Institute, Dr. Azizullo Odilovich Abdulloev, Doctor of Veterinary Sciences. In his address, he highlighted the historic importance of the resolution, the Republic of Tajikistan's contribution to advancing international peace initiatives, and the role of the wise policy of the Founder of Peace and National Unity, the Leader of the Nation and President of the Republic of Tajikistan, His Excellency Emomali Rahmon, in promoting global peace and stability.

It was emphasized that the adoption of this resolution represents another significant achievement of Tajik diplomacy and reflects the international community's recognition of Tajikistan's peace-building initiatives. The participants noted that peace and stability provide a solid foundation for scientific development, the implementation of innovative technologies, and the strengthening of biological safety and food security.

Presentations were also delivered by Kamoliddin Mahmudov, Deputy Director of the Institute; Abdulqosim Abdulkarim Tohirzoda, Candidate of Veterinary Sciences and Head of the Laboratory of Viral Diseases of Poultry; and Yusuf Gulahmadov, Head of Laboratory. The speakers emphasized the importance of peace and national unity, the role of science in the development of society, and the contribution of scientists to promoting a culture of peace.
