On July 3, the President of the Republic of Tajikistan, the respected Leader of the Nation Emomali Rahmon, met with Sultan Abdurrahman al-Marshad, Chairman of the Saudi Development Fund.
During the meeting, issues of cooperation between the Republic of Tajikistan and the Fund were discussed.
Expanding cooperation between Tajikistan and the Saudi Development Fund in financing important projects in the fields of education, transportation, healthcare, hydroenergy, and water management was one of the key topics of the meeting.
In this regard, gratitude and appreciation were expressed to the leadership of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and the Saudi Development Fund for the allocation of 100 million US dollars for the implementation of the Rogun Hydropower Plant project and 30 million US dollars for the construction of the ring road in the city of Kulyab.
The Fund’s involvement in financing social and economic projects in our country was recognized as timely and appropriate.
Confidence was expressed that within the framework of fruitful cooperation, other available opportunities will be utilized to further develop and expand relations.
