In today's global environment, all regions of the world, especially developing countries, face the serious problem of climate change, which is one of the main causes of natural disasters. As you know, due to the devastating consequences of natural disasters, along with the loss of life, the economies of countries are also suffering serious material and financial damage. Among them there are those that are endangered and those that are endangered. On November 12, the President of the Republic of Tajikistan, the Leader of the Nation, dear Emomali Rahmon, stated this in Baku, the Republic of Azerbaijan, at a high-level round table dedicated to the topic of financing the climate industry, which was held in the pavilion of Pakistan. At the same time, it was considered necessary to use coordinated joint actions, especially through financing the climate industry, to address such global threats. The President of our country, Dear Emomali Rahmon, first thanked the Government of the Islamic Republic of Pakistan for organizing this event and inviting him to participate in it. It was noted that, taking into account the devastating consequences of natural disasters, Tajikistan pays special attention to the problem of climate change and environmental sustainability and has been leading the climate and water agenda on the world stage for the past 20 years. The President of the country stated that Tajikistan's initiatives in the field of water and climate during this period were supported by the world community through 14 resolutions of the UN General Assembly. According to the Head of our State, these initiatives have created a favorable basis for achieving the agreed global goals in the field of water resources, including those enshrined in the 2030 agenda for sustainable Development. It was stressed that Tajikistan, as always, is ready to continue its creative actions to protect water resources, including glaciers, and climate sustainability. We advocate solutions to climate problems and innovative financial mechanisms to strengthen the capacity of vulnerable countries, especially developing countries, to adapt to the effects of climate change. The creation of a strong and comprehensive coalition of developing countries and development partners was considered important for the collective advocacy of international reform of the climate finance system and building a sustainable future for future generations. In conclusion, the Head of our State, dear Emomali Rahmon, expressed his conviction that today's round table will play an important role in activating further joint efforts of the countries to counter climate change and protect vital water resources of the planet.
