The 87th meeting of the Interstate Commission for the Coordination of Water Resources in Central Asia was held

First Deputy Minister of Energy and Water Resources of the Republic of Tajikistan Jamshed Shoimzoda took part in the 87th meeting of the interstate Commission for the Coordination of Water Resources in Central Asia, which took place on November 6, 2024 in the capital of Turkmenistan - Ashgabat. Chairman of the State Committee of Water Resources of Turkmenistan Durdi Genjiev, Minister of Water Resources of Uzbekistan Shavkat Khamroev and Minister of Water Resources and Irrigation of the Republic of Kazakhstan Nurzhigitov Nurzhan took part in its work at the same time. The meeting was held in an atmosphere of friendship and mutual understanding, issues related to the results of water withdrawals in the heyday of 2024, the norms of water withdrawals and the mode of operation of reservoirs in the non-violent period of 2024-2025 in the basins of the Syrdarya and Amu rivers, the implementation of proposals and initiatives of the heads of state of the founders of the International Fund for Saving the Aral Sea (FBNA), set out at the summits of the heads of state were discussed- the founders of the FBNA, and others, issues related to it were considered.
