September 7, 2024-Unity. - President of the Korean Agency for International Cooperation (KOICA) Chang Won Sam, during his first visit to the Republic of Tajikistan, visited the 110/20/10 kV Romit electric substation of the Romit rural jamoat, which was built at the Agency's expense. The high-ranking guest was met by Chairman of the city of Vakhdat Mirzo Ismoilzoda, Deputy Minister of Energy and Water Resources Manuchehr Safarzoda and General Director of JSC “Power Transmission Networks” Mirzo Mahmudzoda.It was reported that this substation was put into operation on October 8, 2020 with the participation of the founder of peace and national unity, the Leader of the Nation, the President of the Republic of Tajikistan, dear Emomali Rahmon. The implementation of the project allowed residents of the villages of Romit Kohu, Devdara, Novaki Nizhny, Novaki Verkhny, Pushandoch, Vistan, Dashti Mazor, Gusgef and Pichef, a total of 9 villages, more than 3,100 people to get access to electricity for the first time in many years of living in this area. Then there was a meeting with activists of the village of Romit. During the meeting, Chairman of the city of Vakhdat, Deputy Minister of Energy and Water Resources Manuchehrsafarzoda, General Director of Electric Distribution Networks Mirzo Mahmudzoda and local residents thanked Chang Won Sam for the fruitful cooperation of the Korean Agency for International Cooperation with Tajikistan. In turn, Wang Himself said that in the future this cooperation will expand even more. He stressed that construction work on the project “construction of electric networks in the rural jamoat of Romit” (Stage 2) will begin in the near future. It should be noted that as a result of cooperation with the Korean Agency for International Cooperation (KOICA), on August 4, 2023, the Ministry of Energy and Water Resources of the Republic of Tajikistan and the Korean Agency for International Cooperation (KOICA) signed a protocol of negotiations on the implementation of the project “construction of electric networks in the rural jamoat of Romit” (Stage 2).The implementation of the project is primarily for access to 14 villages, including the villages of Losharv, Sayyed, Hilmarz, Nizhny Tov, Ankhar, Dehpir, Soneh, Sorvog, Khojabuston, Varvar, Regak, Hall, Sorbog Dahan, Sorbog Dahan with electricity, It is also planned to expand the 110 kV Romit electric substation and the 35 kV electric substation “Yavroz” and connection of a 35 kV electrical substation “Yavroz” with a 110 kV electric substation “Romit” along a 35 kV power line. In the end, the high-ranking guest was presented with a commemorative gift from the chairman of the city of Vakhdat, Mirzo Ismoilzade.
