September 23, 2024, Tehran. – Minister of Energy and Water Resources of the Republic of Tajikistan Daler Juma met with newly appointed Minister of Energy of the Islamic Republic of Iran Abbas Aliabody. It should be noted that Daler Juma and Abbas Aliabadi are co-chairs of the joint intergovernmental commission of Tajikistan and Iran on trade, economic, technical, scientific and cultural cooperation. The meeting was held in an atmosphere of friendship and mutual understanding, the parties exchanged views on international initiatives of the Republic of Tajikistan in the field of water and climate, the importance of the Rogun HPP for the region, the project "reunification of the Republic of Tajikistan with the unified energy system of Central Asia", the CASA-100 project, as well as the transportation of crude oil for the needs of refineries of the Republic of Tajikistan. At the same time, the state and prospects of trade, economic and investment cooperation between the countries were discussed. Confidence was expressed that foreign trade between the friendly countries would expand and reach a new level.
