According to the instructions of the President of the Republic of Tajikistan, the Honorable Leader of the Nation Emomali Rahmon and within the framework of the instructions of the Chairman of the city of Dushanbe, the Honorable Rustam Emomali, in order to celebrate the Day of the National Flag of the Republic of Tajikistan of the Republic of Tajikistan at a high organizational level, a peaceful procession of residents and youth of various professions of the capital took place today in the capital of the country .
The procession continued from Istiklal Square along the steps of the National Museum to the State Flag Square, which was attended by more than 20 thousand people from among the management, officials and employees of the Dushanbe City Hall, executive bodies of the city of Dushanbe and its districts, ministries and Republican departments took part in the event and enterprises, district and city structures in the field of education, healthcare, culture, active party members, athletes, leaders and teachers, students of universities and institutes and other active assets of the capital.
At the initiative of the State Executive Body of the city of Dushanbe, a solemn cultural event took place on the State Flag Square, the official part of which was delivered by the Assistant to the President of the Republic of Tajikistan for Social Development and Public Relations Rahmonzoda Abdullo Gurbanali and the First Deputy Mayor of Dushanbe Tabarzoda Jamshed Afzal made a speech.
The celebration of the National Flag Day, which takes place on the direct initiative of the President of the Republic of Tajikistan, the Honorable Emomali Rahmon on November 24, is considered unique and valuable for the people of the country. Every year, residents of Dushanbe celebrate this happy day with new achievements and successes.
Let us recall that the National Flag of Tajikistan was adopted on November 24, 1992 at the 16th fateful session of the Supreme Council of the Republic of Tajikistan; this historical date is celebrated annually by the residents of the country with special pride and sincerity.
At the same time, on August 30, 2011, on the eve of the celebration of the 20th anniversary of the State Independence of the Republic of Tajikistan, on the initiative and direct participation of the Leader of the nation, the President of the Republic of Tajikistan Tajikistan, the Honorable Emomali Rahmon, the tallest flag in the world was raised in the city of Dushanbe that year 165 meters high and 60 wide. It lifted more than 30 people, which is a source of pride for the Tajik people.
The event concluded with a magnificent cultural program in honor of this historical date, in memory of the participants who performed Mehan, Independence, Peace and Unity.
