DUSHANBE, April 1, 2025. In accordance with the Decree of the President of the Republic of Tajikistan "On granting leave to military personnel who have completed their military service and conducting the next conscription of citizens born between 1998 and 2007 for military service," a solemn ceremony was held in the capital to send young people to the Armed Forces of the Republic of Tajikistan.
In this regard, according to the Resolution of the Chairman of Dushanbe "On conducting the next conscription of citizens born between 1998 and 2007 for military service," the Executive Body of State Power of the city of Dushanbe organized a ceremonial event and the farewell of the new recruits at the State Amphitheater "Ahorun" in Dushanbe.
The ceremony was attended by the leadership of the Executive Body of State Power of Dushanbe, the Ministry of Defense, the Committee on Youth Affairs and Sports under the Government of the Republic of Tajikistan, the Committee of the Public Organization "Defense Support," as well as the heads of the administrations of Ismaili Somoni, Shohmansur, Sino, and Firdavsi districts, representatives of law enforcement agencies, education, healthcare, culture, youth policy, and the Executive Committee of the National Democratic Party of Tajikistan in Dushanbe, representatives of the military enlistment offices, military units, parents of the recruits, and media representatives.
Abdurahmonzoda Abdurahmon, the Deputy Chairman of Dushanbe, congratulated those gathered on Recruit Day and conveyed the sincere gratitude of the Chairman of Dushanbe, Rustami Emomali, to the young conscripts and their parents for their readiness to serve in the army.
He emphasized that raising patriotic and conscientious citizens and fostering a love for the homeland is one of the most important directions of the state's social policy, playing a key role in shaping the moral and ethical values of society. It is gratifying that the youth of our country deeply honors the native land, values the blessings of Unity and Independence, and understands the importance of protecting the country's territorial integrity and the interests of the nation.
It was also noted that the creation and strengthening of the Armed Forces is one of the bright pages in the history of the new statehood of the Tajik people and the merit of the Leader of the Nation, the President of the country, Emomali Rahmon.
The founder of peace and national unity, the Leader of the Nation, the President of the Republic of Tajikistan, and the Supreme Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces, Emomali Rahmon, based on the Constitution and relevant laws, has defined the defense of the homeland and the interests of the country as the main duty of the state and the common cause of the entire people. He pays special attention to issues related to strengthening the army, its combat readiness, service conditions, and material support for military personnel.
During the ceremony, the Chief of the General Staff of the Armed Forces, First Deputy Minister of Defense Saidzoda Bobjon, the Chairman of the Committee on Youth Affairs and Sports Gulahmadzoda Zulfiqar, and the Head of the Executive Office of the National Democratic Party of Tajikistan Khonzoda Abdurahmon highlighted that youth is the leading and creative force. They expressed confidence that the recruits would approach the tasks of defending independence and peace in the country with responsibility.
Special mention was made of the youth's contributions to restoring constitutional order, their ability to address important social issues, and their participation in strengthening the army and reliably guarding the state's borders with high patriotic consciousness.
Military service for the younger generation is an essential school of life. Here, young men learn courage, bravery, and the most sacred duty—loving and protecting the native land.
On the first day of the spring conscription of 2025, 456 young people voluntarily joined the military, which accounts for 41% of the established plan.
Additionally, the mother of one of the recruits, on behalf of all mothers, offered a farewell blessing, concluding the ceremony with the traditional "Nongazon" ritual.
The ceremony continued with military and sports demonstrations, followed by a festive concert program performed by creative groups for the event participants.
It is worth noting that each year the number of young people volunteering to serve in the military grows. The government of the country is taking targeted measures to further develop the Armed Forces and improve the conditions for soldiers and officers.
The young patriots of Tajikistan must serve the Motherland with honor and be ready, with vigilance, courage, and bravery, to protect the native borders, guarding the land of their ancestors as the apple of their eye.
