The Administration of the Republican Scientific Research Center for Sericulture of the Academy of Agricultural Sciences of Tajikistan expresses its deepest respect and sincerely congratulates all compatriots on the great national holiday — the 35th anniversary of the State Independence of the Republic of Tajikistan.
The State Independence of the Republic of Tajikistan is one of the most sacred and greatest national holidays of our people.
For the Tajik people, independence is the greatest historical achievement and a symbol of freedom, statehood, national unity, and progress of our beloved Motherland. Thanks to independence, our country has achieved significant success on the path of nation-building, development, and the strengthening of peace and stability.
For thirty-five years, our beloved Tajikistan, under its State Flag, with its national emblem and the sacred name of the Motherland, has strengthened its position in the international community as an independent state. These years have not been easy. Throughout this historic journey, the people of Tajikistan have faced numerous difficulties and challenges. However, thanks to a strong sense of patriotism, tolerance, and national unity, they have made a significant contribution to the improvement and development of the country.
Independence has given us the opportunity to determine our own destiny, preserve our language, culture, history, and national values, and build an independent and prosperous state for future generations.
One of the most important achievements of the independence period is the strengthening of national unity. Unity is the foundation of peace, stability, and social progress. Today, every citizen of the country must understand that preserving peace and tranquility, political stability, and the territorial integrity of the Motherland is a sacred duty of every person devoted to their country.
It should be recalled that the establishment of the Republican Scientific Research Center for Sericulture pursuant to Resolution No. 487 of the Government of the Republic of Tajikistan dated August 31, 2020, is one of the unique achievements of the period of independence. The activities of the Center contribute to the practical implementation of the country’s fourth national goal — accelerated industrialization, particularly during the period designated as “2022–2026 — Years of Industrial Development.”
Over the years of independence, the scientists of the Center have achieved a number of significant results. In the field of sericulture, the varieties and hybrids “Tajikistan-1” and “Tajikistan-2,” as well as “Khujand-1” and “Khujand-2,” have been developed. In the field of mulberry cultivation, the mulberry hybrids “Sughdiyon” and “Sughdiyon-2” have been developed and are currently being introduced into production.
It should be emphasized that, taking into account the achievements and successes of the industry, increasing the production of mulberry silkworm cocoons throughout the Republic is a priority task for industry leaders, specialists, and leading scientists.
