On April 15, 2026, a regional scientific and practical seminar entitled “Modern Technology of Plastic-Mulched Cotton Sowing Using Modern Seed Drills” was held at the Scientific Center for Innovative Technologies and Agricultural Mechanization.
Representatives of the Administration of the Academy of Agricultural Sciences of Tajikistan, the Executive Authority of Hisor City, the Institute of Crop Production, the Institute of Economics and Systemic Research of Agricultural Development, the Institute of Plant Protection, the State Institution “State Service for Testing and Protection of Agricultural Machinery” under the Ministry of Agriculture of the Republic of Tajikistan, the National Center for Genetic Resources, as well as dehkan farms from Hisor City and Rudaki District participated in the seminar and delivered presentations.
Scientists and specialists presented reports on the application of modern technologies for cotton cultivation and production.
The seminar aimed to contribute to the implementation of the instructions and directives outlined in the Address of the President of the Republic of Tajikistan, Leader of the Nation, Emomali Rahmon, to the Supreme Assembly of the Republic of Tajikistan on December 16, 2025, regarding the increase of agricultural production, particularly through the introduction of modern cotton cultivation technologies and the achievement of higher yields.
