On May 27, 2025, at the initiative of the Ministry of Labor, Migration, and Employment of the Population of the Republic of Tajikistan, a youth gathering was held under the motto "Youth — Followers of the Leader of the Nation." The event was attended by the Chairman of the Committee for Youth and Sports under the Government of the Republic of Tajikistan, Zulfiqor Ahmad Gulmakhmadzoda, heads of the Ministry’s departments, employees of the central office, and representatives of state institutions under the Ministry.
At the same time, the First Deputy Minister of Labor, Migration, and Employment of the Population of the Republic of Tajikistan, Nasim Karimzoda, welcomed the guests and delivered a speech on the achievements of youth during the independence period.
Nasim Karimzoda noted that the Supreme Leader of the Nation stated in one of his speeches: “Youth must comprehensively study the lessons of Independence, be informed about today’s policies, frequently reflect on the past and present of their nation, and be proud of their Homeland, people, language, and culture.”
It is a great honor and privilege that the President of the country, His Excellency Emomali Rahmon, places deep trust in the strength and potential of young people and, with care and attention, has created favorable conditions for their free development and growth in various areas of public life. The declaration of 2017 as the "Year of Youth" is a clear testament to this.
The Chairman of the Committee for Youth and Sports under the Government of the Republic of Tajikistan, Zulfiqor Ahmad Gulmakhmadzoda, also noted in his speech that during meetings with the country's youth, the Head of State emphasized an important point: “We must consider state policy towards youth alongside other strategic national matters, because the participation of youth in the process of building an independent, democratic, and law-based state in Tajikistan is of crucial importance, and the ultimate outcome of this process largely depends on this large and leading force. Our youth must strive to learn.”
During the continuation of the gathering, speakers discussed the achievements of workers in the fields of labor, migration, and employment during the independence period, addressing themes such as: “Youth — Followers of the Leader of the Nation,” “Professional Education of Youth — A Demand of the Time,” and “Youth — A Creative and Constructive Force.” With confidence and gratitude, they highlighted the constant care of the Supreme Leader of the Nation and reminded that the building and development of the nation and the state lie in the hands of the youth. It is only we, the youth, who, through strong will, intellect, rich knowledge, and experience, can become the creators and founders of future generations.
At the conclusion of the event, on behalf of the Chairman of the Committee for Youth and Sports under the Government of the Republic of Tajikistan, a number of young individuals who actively participate in political and public life and have made significant contributions were honored with special awards.
