On May 15, 2025, within the framework of the XVI International Economic Forum "Russia – Islamic World: KAZANFORUM," the Minister of Labor, Migration, and Employment of the Population of the Republic of Tajikistan, Soleha Kholmakhamadzoda, paid a visit to the Special Economic Zone “Alabuga” of the Republic of Tatarstan.
The Special Economic Zone “Alabuga,” located in the city of Yelabuga, Republic of Tatarstan, currently unites more than 42 advanced and well-known manufacturing enterprises from the Russian Federation, as well as from the Arab world, Turkey, China, France, Germany, Kazakhstan, and other countries. At present, more than 18,000 workers are employed at the existing and under-construction enterprises, while in 2025 alone, thousands of workers are needed to build and further develop the zone’s infrastructure.
The area around each enterprise, entrance zones, employee dormitories, and residential buildings are equipped with security systems, and access is controlled via “FACE ID” technology, making unauthorized entry impossible. The dormitories for workers and students meet sanitary and hygienic standards, and within the zone, there are sports and recreation facilities where employees, students, and residents can engage in sports and relax during their free time.
During the visit, a meeting was held with Tajik students and labor migrants — citizens of the Republic of Tajikistan who study and work in this zone. They were acquainted with the conditions of work and study. In the course of the discussion, our citizens expressed satisfaction with the conditions of education, work, living, as well as with the attitude of the zone’s management.
Information was also presented about the “Alabuga Start” and “Alabuga Polytech” programs, which are key partners in the international infrastructure of JSC “Alabuga.” It should be noted that these programs aim to attract young men and women aged 16 to 22 to work and study in specialties such as quality management, economics, law, business and services promotion, hospitality, and others.
