Progress of Scientific Research Work
In the Lakhsh District, at the farm of the Agency for the Provision of Special Property under the Government of the Republic of Tajikistan, located in the “Suyrukul” area (Long Lake), scientific research is being conducted on the topic:
“Improving the Genetic Potential of Beef Cattle for 2026–2030.”
At the same time, within the framework of the research project
“Study of the Growth and Development of Young Yaks: Weighing and Body Measurements” of the Pamir ecotype, farm employees and shepherds are carrying out zootechnical measurements of animals. In particular, parameters such as body length and cannon bone circumference are being recorded in 2-year-old male yaks.
In the peasant farm “Khudgif” of the Kuhistoni Mastchoh District of the Sughd Region, scientific research is being conducted on the body measurements of newborn calves and 1.5-year-old bulls of the Zarafshan ecotype, as well as on breeding records. During weighing, it was determined that the live weight of a 1-month-old calf is 21 kg.
Scientific research is also being carried out in the field of horse breeding at the “Mir” farm in the Khovaling District of the Khatlon Region. The live weight of foals at 2 months of age is being determined with consideration of their sex.
Within the framework of scientific research on beef cattle breeding at LLC “Marmari” in the Baljuvon District of the Khatlon Region, Hereford calves born in 2026 have been registered and recorded for further scientific investigation at the farm.
