For the second consecutive day, the International Scientific and Practical Conference on the topic “Innovative Methods of Using Genetic Resources of Farm Animals in Ensuring Food Security” continues in the ancient city of Khujand, at the cultural and historical complex of the Khujand Fortress. The conference is dedicated to the 35th anniversary of the State Independence of the Republic of Tajikistan, the 35th anniversary of the establishment of the Tajik Academy of Agricultural Sciences, and the 100th anniversary of the distinguished scientist, Professor M. J. Zokirov.
Guests from the Republic of Uzbekistan, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, and other countries were invited to this scientific event. At the plenary session, the Deputy Minister of Agriculture, Safarali Nazarzoda, delivered a speech. Of particular interest were the remarks of Academician Amonullo Salimzoda, President of the Tajik Academy of Agricultural Sciences, whose speech added special significance to the conference. Academician Salimzoda noted that thanks to the initiatives of the Leader of the Nation, respected Emomali Rahmon, the country’s agricultural science is developing, and the achievements of Tajik scientists are a source of pride.
This conference became a true celebration of science, dedication, and friendship. Employees of the Institute of Livestock and Pasture Management of the Tajik Academy of Agricultural Sciences, as well as its branch in the Sughd Region, actively participated in the scientific forum.
Following the speeches of representatives from Khatlon Region, the Director of the Institute of Animal Husbandry of the Republic of Uzbekistan, A’zamjon Nurmatov, the Director of the Institute of Animal Husbandry of the Kyrgyz Republic, Rokhatbek Ibraev, and the FAO representative in Tajikistan, opinions and proposals were expressed on the development of innovative science, genetic resources of livestock, and food security.
The Director of the Institute of Livestock and Pasture Management, N.I.K. Khurshed Davlatov, Doctor of Agricultural Sciences M. Qosimov, Professor Sharofjon Rahimov, Doctor of Sciences Tuichi Ruziev, Director of the Institute branch M. Karimzoda, and other participants also shared their views and proposals on the development of the sector.
Academician Salimzoda highly appreciated the level of organization of the conference. The event included discussions, questions and answers, turning the forum into a meaningful scientific gathering.
Afterwards, guests and scientists visited the innovative dairy farm “Afzali Zarzamin” in Gafurov District. This scientific event once again confirmed that the staff of the Academy of Agricultural Sciences and the Institute of Livestock and Pasture Management are actively implementing scientific achievements in practice and are worthily marking the 35th anniversary of the Independence of the Republic of Tajikistan.
