On May 23, 1997, the President of the Republic of Tajikistan, His Excellency Emomali Rahmon, met with representatives of the country's youth and signed the decree “On Certain Issues of Improving Work with Youth.” This historic event became the basis for declaring May 23 as Youth Day in the Republic of Tajikistan.
Under modern conditions, the state youth policy is one of the priority directions of the social policy of the Republic of Tajikistan. Young people are regarded as the main driving force of society, an important factor in political stability, economic development, and the strengthening of national statehood.
On the occasion of this significant day in the history of the country's youth, it is worth noting that the Institute of Livestock and Pasture Management of the Tajik Academy of Agricultural Sciences has been actively supporting and developing young professionals. Every year, the number of young scientists working in various research fields continues to grow. At present, a large group of young specialists is successfully carrying out exemplary scientific and professional activities at the Institute.
In connection with the celebration of Youth Day, a Republican Scientific and Practical Conference entitled “Achievements of Young Scientists in the Development of Agricultural Science” was held today in the conference hall of the Tajik Academy of Agricultural Sciences. The event brought together scientists and researchers from institutions subordinate to the Academy, as well as representatives of the Tajik Agrarian University named after Shirinsho Shotemur and other educational and research institutions.
It is noteworthy that scientists from the Institute of Livestock and Pasture Management also took part in this national scientific forum. In particular, the Institute’s active young researchers delivered presentations during the plenary session and in various thematic sections of the conference, where they presented the results of their studies and discussed issues of current importance for the development of agricultural science.
