The modern turbulent and contradictory world faces acute problems, the solutions to which pose numerous challenges for states. One such problem causing concern in today’s world is the emergence of terrorist and extremist organizations. Unfortunately, the impact of these negative and dreadful actions has also affected some thoughtless, weak-willed, and easily influenced citizens of our Tajikistan.
The Head of the Nation, esteemed Emomali Rahmon, in his Address to the Supreme Assembly, paid special attention to this issue and emphasized that “We must always remember that terrorism and terrorists cannot be divided into ours and theirs, good and bad.” In other words, terrorists have no nationality, homeland, or religion.
These meaningful words compel us, at every step, during negotiations and conversations, not to allow the spread of false and terrifying propaganda of terrorist and extremist organizations such as Nazism (NNT), Hizb ut-Tahrir, Ansarullah, Islamic State, the Taliban, and dozens of new radical groups. On the contrary, we must consider these parties and movements dangerous, poisonous, destructive, inhumane, and abhorrent.
A few days ago, Tajik television channels such as Safina, Qahonnamo, and other regional channels broadcast a documentary film titled “Betrayal.”
From watching this film, it becomes clear that some of our fellow citizens (who should not even be called fellow citizens) also succumbed to the deception and cunning of their foreign and domestic handlers, joined the ranks of terrorist organizations, and even committed the unforgivable betrayal of the Homeland and the people.
From 1992 to the present, dozens and hundreds of young people from among the dishonorable and disgraceful elements, whose names and photographs are shown in news reports and the film “Betrayal,” testify that, unfortunately, such scoundrels, vile and internal enemies of our Homeland exist. They committed inhumane acts — brutally killing worthy people of the nation, causing harm and damage to the Homeland and the people. These brutal acts — betrayal of the Homeland, betrayal of the people, betrayal of the parents — are unforgivable.
You have shed innocent blood, oh soulless bloodsucker,
You are neither culture nor faith,
You are not a human, but worse than an animal,
Your fate is to be killed and lie with dogs.
Great scholars and poets of the Tajik and Persian peoples have justly condemned such vicious and treacherous persons of the Homeland and the people:
O traitor, stay away, oh friend, be calm,
For the traitor’s heart will never find peace.
Nizami Khusraw.
From betrayal — disgrace,
From villainy — despair.
Nizami Ganjavi.
Over 29 years of our country’s independence, thanks to the initiatives, measures, and wise policies of the Head of the Nation, esteemed Emomali Rahmon, Tajikistan has transformed from an almost fragmented country into a state with a high culture, developed and prosperous.
We must be grateful for these achievements of our people and nation, not lose political vigilance, and strive for further development, peace, security, and prosperity of our dear Homeland.
