Under the instructions of the Chairman of the Communications Service under the Government of the Republic of Tajikistan, the condition of electronic communication services, including the Internet, at all polling stations across the country has been checked. All of them will be provided with high-speed electronic communication on election day.
This initiative is being implemented in cooperation with the Central Commission for Elections and Referendums of the Republic of Tajikistan to ensure the smooth conduct of the elections for the new composition of the Majlisi Namoyandagon of the Majlisi Oli of the Republic of Tajikistan, as well as the meetings of the People's Deputies of the Gorno-Badakhshan Autonomous Region, other regions, the city of Dushanbe, cities, and districts, which will take place on March 2.
It is evident that access to electronic communication during the elections is of special importance, including for domestic and international observers, representatives of national and foreign media, as well as election commissions.
For the verification process, the structures of the Communications Service in all regions, in cooperation with mobile operators, continue to work with responsible persons from polling stations, OJSC "Barki Tojik", and other relevant institutions to resolve existing issues in the shortest possible time.
