Tcell, the leader in Tajikistan's telecommunications market, is launching a large-scale project to replace old batteries with modern lithium-ion ones at its base stations. This initiative aims to ensure stable communication even during power outages.
The first phase of the project started in early 2024, during which more than 500 batteries were replaced across 300 sites. The second phase has now begun, which will cover an additional 500 base stations. So far, batteries have been replaced at more than 100 base stations in the cities of Dushanbe, Khujand, Kulyab, Nurek, Panjakent, and Bokhtar, as well as in the districts of Danghara, Farhor, Baljuvon, Hamadoni, Shahritus, Vakhsh, and Rudaki. As a result, more than 500 Tcell facilities are already equipped with modern lithium-ion batteries. These updates enhance network performance even with unstable power supply, which is particularly important for remote regions where Tcell’s connection is often the only communication option.
The project fully complies with the recommendations of the Communications Service of Tajikistan, which seeks to provide stable communication for the country's citizens. The upgrade of emergency power sources demonstrates Tcell's commitment to being a reliable partner for its customers. Even in the most challenging conditions, the company guarantees high-quality communication and continues to invest in developing sustainable infrastructure. With Tcell, you can always be sure that the connection will remain stable, reliable, and accessible in any situation.
