On April 26, 2025, in the city of Khujand, at the initiative of the State Agency for Civil Service under the President of the Republic of Tajikistan, the field-based advanced training course for the heads of urban and rural jamoats of cities and districts in the Sughd region was completed, under the program "Local Self-Government in Modern Conditions."
The course, which began on April 21, lasted for 46 hours, and its aim was to enhance the knowledge, skills, and professional outlook of the jamoat leaders for the effective implementation of local self-government and improving the quality of public services.
Throughout the course, participants familiarized themselves with the legal foundations of local self-government, local financial management, the development of strategies for the socio-economic development of local territories, working with the population, land issues, effective communication, the ethics of civil servants, and other topics related to local governance.
